Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13th this year. You still have time to get something great for your mom! I have put together a Mother’s Day Gift Guide to help you find something special. Let’s get started!
Up first, one of my favorites:
And the Pool Boy Service Bell:
These are from Grandin Road, and I just think they are so cheeky. 🙂 And they work! They are battery operated, and come with a wireless receiver that works up to 80 feet from the bell. They are designed to look like vintage hotel bells from the 40’s and 50’s. I have the Champagne Service bell. I really love the Pool Boy bell too but we don’t have a pool. Besides, we had one at a previous home and I was the pool boy. 🙂 So if your mom would love to just push a button and have someone wait on her, these are just the thing for her! She could put the champagne bell in her walk-in closet for when she needs a dressing drink, or anywhere she might feel the need for bubbly may strike.
Perfume is always a classic gift. But perfume in a shoe? Come ON! That’s a win-win. 🙂 Carolina Herrera has been keeping women looking and smelling fabulous for a long time. If your mom loves shoes and smelling great, done and done with this one.
Oh, how I love Chip and Joanna. If your mom speaks “shiplap,” 🙂 she will love this cookbook with 125 recipes. Chicken pot pie, chocolate chip cookies, fried chicken, french toast and more. This book is hefty and the photos in this cookbook are lovely. The recipes are for food people actually eat. Pick one and make a date with mom to make it together!
I love Kate Spade stuff. I have carried her handbags forEVER. I love the simplicity of this bracelet. It is moderately priced so you could get several if your mom likes stackable bracelets. And if your mom has a heart of gold, it’s already engraved and ready to go! 🙂
I LOVE the way L’Occitane products smell. When I first started using them years ago, my daughter said they smelled like “class.” 🙂 They are French and this hand cream trio will let your mom try out different ones to choose her favorite. If hand cream isn’t her thing, just pick something she will like from their extensive product line.
If your mom is a coffee drinker, she may love this french press. I have used a french press off and on over the years, and they remain very popular. They make a delicious cup of coffee. My beef with them has always been how to retain the heat with a glass carafe. This one is made from copper and is double walled, which means it keeps coffee hot longer than glass. And it is beautiful to look at. Just like mom. 🙂
This kit contains a body polish that combines coconut oil and Moroccan rose, a hydrating face mist infused with rose and hibiscus, and a coconut oil and rose lip conditioner. The products are made from all natural ingredients and are sulfate free. The packaging is lovely and any mom would feel like she is splurging on herself using this trio!
These diffusers are wonderful for infusing an area of the home with subtle fragrance. They are simple to use. You just fill the reservoir with water, add a few drops of a favorite essential oil, and turn it on. Mine has the ability to set it to run continuously or intermittently. I keep mine on the intermittent function because then I don’t have to refill the reservoir as frequently. It also has a color changing function which is fun at night, as it changes the color of the room as it cycles through a variety of colors. The thing I like about the diffuser is that it shuts off when it runs out of water. So if I forget to turn it off at night I don’t worry about it burning up the motor. These are great for a bedroom or office or even mom’s special yoga room! Pick up a few different scented essential oils and let her try them all to find her favorite.
Is your mom a drinker? She’s a mom, so yes. 🙂 It’s almost summer and why should children be the only ones having fun? Have you heard of Poptails? They are boozy popsicles. Cocktails in popsicle form. Yes, please. 🙂 Give mom a book with fun recipes and pair it with a set of Reusable Popsicle Molds .
Even though Downton Abbey has been off the air for a while, we all still miss it, and especially those pithy quotes from the Dowager Countess. If mom loves a good zinger then these glasses are for her. Includes these quotes:
- “You’ll find there’s never a dull moment in this house.”
- “What is a WEEKEND?” (one of my favorites) 🙂
- “VULGARITY is no substitution for wit.” (my other favorite)
- “I am NEVER wrong.”
Add a bottle of mom’s favorite wine. Done.
We all know about the Amazon Echo. This is the KID’S EDITION. Hear me out. If there is a mom on your list with really young children, this may very well save her sanity. How much of her day is spent answering endless questions, singing songs, and reading stories? What if the children could ask ALEXA what color is on the top of a rainbow (red) or what is Peppa Pig’s brother’s name? (George)
The Echo Dot Kid’s Edition comes with a year of FreeTime Unlimited which gives you access to kid friendly music, stories, games, and educational content. It also comes with a 2 year warranty. The little darlings break it, you get a free replacement. Parental controls allow you to limit time use and monitor activity. You can also call everyone to the dinner table from a compatible Echo device. No more screaming!
Who doesn’t love Philosophy products? If your mom is amazing, this set includes the shampoo/bath/shower gel for her skin and hair, and a whipped body creme to seal the deal. This stuff smells amazing, so it is aptly named. 🙂
Sand and Sky is an Australian company and when it launched its first product, the Porefining Mask, it had a waiting list of 12,000! And the waiting list for it’s second product, the exfoliating treatment, had a waiting list of 14,000. Unbelievable. The “millennial pink” packaging probably didn’t hurt its desirability among that demographic. The good news is they have caught up with demand and now you can get both products in a bundle. If your mom loves trying new skincare products, this is a great choice. I have ordered mine and am anxiously waiting to find out what all the fuss is about. I’ve had a few gals tell me that the little brush that comes with the kit is used to apply the mask and is worth the price of the whole thing. 🙂
And finally, and while we’re keeping with stuff that’s all the rage, Magnetic Lashes!
Those geniuses over at OneTwoCosmetics have created magnetic eyelashes that go on without any sticky glue. They have tiny magnets and you simply click them together, sandwiching your natural lashes in between. I have written two blog posts about them if you want to learn more. They have different styles to choose from and you can choose full coverage lashes or partial lashes. If your mom is an eye makeup junkie, get her some of these. They are fun to play with and cut your getting ready time down! If you use this link you get 10% off everything they offer.
So there you go. I’m a mom and I’d gladly take any and every thing on this list. I’m getting my favorite Mother’s Day gift this weekend–my daughter is coming home from college for the summer! Yay! 🙂
If you have some great ideas of your own for Mother’s Day gifts, feel free to share them in the comment section. And I’d love for you to follow me on Pinterest!
