Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12th this year. You still have time to get something great for your mom! I have put together a Mother’s Day Gift Guide to help you find something special. Let’s get started!
Up first, one of my favorites:
And the Pool Boy Service Bell:
These are from Grandin Road, and I just think they are so cheeky. 🙂 And they work! They are battery operated, and come with a wireless receiver that works up to 80 feet from the bell. They are designed to look like vintage hotel bells from the 40’s and 50’s. I have the Champagne Service bell.
I really love the Pool Boy bell too but we don’t have a pool. Besides, we had one at a previous home and I was the pool boy. 🙂 So if your mom would love to just push a button and have someone wait on her, these are just the thing for her!
She could put the champagne bell in her walk-in closet for when she needs a dressing drink, or anywhere she might feel the need for bubbly may strike.
Perfume is always a classic gift. But perfume in a shoe? Come ON! That’s a win-win. 🙂 Carolina Herrera has been keeping women looking and smelling fabulous for a long time. If your mom loves shoes and smelling great, done and done with this one.
Is your mom geek-chic and maybe a fan of The Big Bang Theory? She might get a laugh out of this molecule necklace representing dopamine.
Dopamine is a brain neurotransmitter that is associated with feelings of happiness, bliss, and motivation. Happiness in the form of jewelry is a great combo. 🙂 It comes in gold, silver, and rose gold.
I love Kate Spade stuff. I have carried her handbags forEVER. I love the simplicity of this bracelet. It is moderately priced so you could get several if your mom likes stackable bracelets. And if your mom has a heart of gold, it’s already engraved and ready to go! 🙂
Moms are always up for pampering, and this lovely spa gift has everything she needs. Rose and jasmine scented, it contains shower gel, body scrub, bubble bath, bath crystals, bath fizzers, and an exfoliating sponge.
If your mom is a coffee drinker, she may love this French press. I have used a French press off and on over the years, and they remain very popular. They make a delicious cup of coffee.
My beef with them has always been how to retain the heat with a glass carafe. This one is made from copper and is double-walled, which means it keeps coffee hot longer than glass. And it is beautiful to look at. Just like mom. 🙂
Is your mom one of those gals who never leaves the house without her lipstick? Stock her up with this lipstick gift set that contains flattering colors like Blushed, Softsilver Rose, Wine with Everything, Coffee Bean, and Rum Raisin.
These diffusers are wonderful for infusing an area of the home with subtle fragrance. They are simple to use. You just fill the reservoir with water, add a few drops of a favorite essential oil, and turn it on.
Mine has the ability to set it to run continuously or intermittently. I keep mine on the intermittent function because then I don’t have to refill the reservoir as frequently.
It also has a color-changing function which is fun at night, as it changes the color of the room as it cycles through a variety of colors.
The thing I like about the diffuser is that it shuts off when it runs out of water. So if I forget to turn it off at night I don’t worry about it burning up the motor.
These are great for a bedroom or office or even mom’s special yoga room! Pick up a few different scented essential oils and let her try them all to find her favorite.
Is your mom a drinker? She’s a mom, so yes. 🙂 It’s almost summer and why should children be the only ones having fun? Have you heard of Poptails? They are boozy popsicles. Cocktails in popsicle form. Yes, please. 🙂 Give mom a book with fun recipes and pair it with a set of Reusable Popsicle Molds .
Make a date for Poptail Hour and you’re good to go!
Has your mom ever wondered where she came from? A DNA kit would be a wonderful gift for her to learn about her ancestry. Many of the sites are running great sales for Mother’s Day. Ancestry.com normally charges $99 for their DNA kit, but are running the kit at a sale price of $59. That’s a great deal!
23andMe is running a Mother’s Day sale on their ancestry & health test, which is normally priced at $199. The sale price is $169. This test provides not only ancestry information but also health predispositions and traits. Give mom the gift of her past! I wrote a blog post showing the type of results you get from both companies if you want to check it out.
That classic Mean Girls movie quote. 🙂 If your mom is a “cool mom” she might love being reminded of it with her morning coffee.
We all know about the Amazon Echo. This is the KID’S EDITION. Hear me out. If there is a mom on your list with really young children, this may very well save her sanity. How much of her day is spent answering endless questions, singing songs, and reading stories? What if the children could ask ALEXA what color is on the top of a rainbow (red) or what is Peppa Pig’s brother’s name? (George)
The Echo Dot Kid’s Edition comes with a year of FreeTime Unlimited which gives you access to kid-friendly music, stories, games, and educational content. It also comes with a 2-year warranty. If the little darlings break it, you get a free replacement.
Parental controls allow you to limit time use and monitor activity. You can also call everyone to the dinner table from a compatible Echo device. No more screaming!
Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart. Spoken by that timeless sage, Winnie the Pooh. 🙂 This sterling silver necklace would make a lovely Mother’s Day gift for a new mom with a small one filling up her heart.
This vintage dress is just lovely and would go great with an afternoon of Aperol Spritzing. 🙂 It comes in 42 different solids and colors. 42! And don’t skip the petticoat and mom will be ready for any spring party or wedding that comes her way. Or Mother’s Day brunch!
And finally, something that’s all the rage–Magnetic Lashes!
Those geniuses over at OneTwoCosmetics have created magnetic eyelashes that go on without any sticky glue. They have tiny magnets and you simply click them together, sandwiching your natural lashes in between.
I have written two blog posts about them if you want to learn more. They have different styles to choose from and you can choose full coverage lashes or partial lashes. If your mom is an eye makeup junkie, get her some of these.
They are fun to play with and cut your getting-ready time down! If you use this link you get 10% off everything they offer. You’re welcome!
So there you go. I’m a mom and I’d gladly take any and everything on this list! 🙂
