Amazon has added another Prime Day! It is a 2-day event on October 10th and 11th. We can get a jump start on holiday shopping!

Amazon Prime Day

For the uninitiated, Prime Day is an annual event just for Amazon Prime membership members that offers too many great deals to count. The date is always a little bit of a secret each year until it gets closer to the sale date when Amazon releases the information and starts the deals.

It got its start in 2015 to celebrate Amazon’s 20th anniversary. It lasted for 24 hours, and customers spent more than they did on Black Friday in 2014. Amazon sold 24,000 Instant Pots during its first Prime Day. Remember when Amazon was merely an online bookstore? 🙂

There are so many great deals, and it is impossible to highlight them all, but before we get into all that, the very first thing you must do is make sure you are an Amazon Prime Member! If you aren’t yet, you are missing out on deals and free 2-day shipping.

If you aren’t yet a Prime member, just click here or the picture below to fix that right now! 🙂

Or if you are a student, you can get a Student Prime Membership. All you need is your .edu address.

Now that we’ve gotten that taken care of, let’s talk about deals. This link below will take you to the Prime Day deals, which are always updated throughout the two days of the sale.

You can find deals on all kinds of things, and they update frequently. You can shop early deals right now, leading up to Prime Day.

You can also set yourself up for success by installing browser extensions that help you shop and save money. One such extension is Honey.

Amazon Prime Day

It’s free, and it is especially helpful when shopping on Amazon because it compares sellers for you to show you the best price on an item you’re interested in while factoring in shipping and Prime status, and price history.

Another helpful extension is Octoshop, which is part of Ibotta.

This extension is helpful because it compares prices on an item across multiple retailers. This helps you see if you’re actually getting a good deal or not on Amazon Prime Day.

If you don’t even know what you want but would like to just browse by category, you can do that too!  Here are the links to the different shopping categories:

Automotive and Accessories

Beauty and Wellness Products

Babies and Children

Bedding Essentials

Electronics (This is always a favorite category with great deals!)

Fitness and Sports Favorites

Home Goods

Kitchen Favorites

Office Essentials

Outdoor, Adventure, and Playground

Health, Wellness, and Personal Care

If you want to take a look at all the Top Steals all in one place you can see all the Featured Deals here.

If you use the Amazon app, you can set Watch a Deal alerts to start watching deals. The Watch A Deal notification lets you know when your deal is about to start. Tap the options icon in the bottom menu to navigate to view your Settings. Scroll to your “Programs and Features” and tap on “Deals”, then tap the “Upcoming” tab. Find a deal that you want and tap “Watch this deal” to get notified when it starts.

This is a day we wait for all year. It’s like a jump start on Christmas. 🙂

If you’ve never shopped an Amazon Prime Day, I think you’ll really enjoy it. Just make sure you have a Prime Membership in place, and then just have fun!

I’d love to hear about any amazing deals you find.

And I’d love for you to follow me on Pinterest!
