Hippity hop hop, Easter’s on its way! So how about an easy Easter treat that the kids can help make?
Beanie Bunnies Cupcakes!
This recipe comes from an adorable cookbook called Hello Cupcake!: Irresistibly Playful Creations Anyone Can Make and these could not be any easier if they tried.
You probably have almost everything you need already on hand.
All you need is:
- your favorite cupcake recipe or mix
- pretzel sticks
- whole marshmallows
- frosting
- shredded coconut if you like it
- sanding sugar
- jellybeans
First, make your favorite cupcake recipe or mix. Frost them and sprinkle with shredded coconut, if desired.
To make the head of the bunnies, insert one end of a pretzel stick into a whole marshmallow, and the other end of the pretzel stick into the cupcake.
You could also use pink marshmallows if you want to make pink bunnies.
For the bunny ears, cut two marshmallows in half diagonally with a pair of scissors, then dip the cut (sticky) sides into the colored sugar of your choice.
Use frosting to “glue” the ears to the marshmallow head.
Use the frosting color of your choice to make eyes for the bunny, then use more frosting to glue on a jellybean for a nose, and more jellybeans for the feet and tail.
That’s it! Instant Easter adorableness! 🙂
These are so easy, the kids can make their own. Just put out all the supplies and let them make their own creations!
I hope you’ll make these treats for your Easter celebration this year. If you do, I’d love to see pics! What are you making this year? Feel free to share it in the comment section.
And I’d love for you to follow me on Pinterest!
