School has either already started, is about to, or is not far off for students everywhere. It started back up this week in our school district.

If you have children or grandchildren starting back to school, or even if you are a teacher, having some Back to School activities on hand can help ease the transition of getting back into a new school year.

I have a few resources to help with that!

The first one is a Back to School Activity Pack.

There are dot-to-dot activities for the little ones:

Word search puzzles:

Word scramble puzzles:

Mazes:

You get 45 pages of activities, including the answer keys for all the puzzles. And it is a digital download, so you get it delivered right to your inbox! And it’s free! Just enter your email address in the form below, and you will receive your activity pack!

Another fun Back to School activity is an escape room. I created a Back to School Escape Room activity that some of you may remember. I have had a few requests in recent weeks from parents looking for this activity for their children.

This Back to School Escape Room has nine puzzles that allow children to work together in teams or as individuals, using critical thinking skills to solve word and number puzzles.

This activity involves a story about a child who is anxious about starting school, and with the help of a magic fairy named Flora, enters the world of a magic backpack, where puzzles must be solved to get to the next quest.

This particular Escape Room is geared toward children ages 7-12, and basic math and reading skills are needed.

There are word and number puzzles, with nine puzzles total. Each puzzle provides students with clues that help them solve the code needed at the end of the activity.

There is an answer sheet that gives the parent the answers to each puzzle, as well as instructions on how to coordinate the activity.

I tested this activity out with my neighbor’s children, and they loved it. It is available in my Printables Shop, and you can get a discount by using promo code BTS10.

So if you have students heading back to school or are a teacher looking for Back to School activities, I hope the activity pack and escape room can help with that!

And I’d love for you to follow me on Pinterest!
